Ten years ago I would have never thought I would actually be excited about having a laminate floor. I have had a few, but this time it is a big thing as it is one of the first steps to my own home!

This sounds weird, as my house was already mine to begin with, but it was not just mine, and I am getting closer to it being mine. I live here alone now, and my parents and brother have helped me two weekends by getting the new laminate floor in, on top of the ugly wooden orangey brown floor. That old floor was really something that bothered me in my house, and now I have a gorgeous light white/gray-ish laminate floor instead.

I am super happy, as it is something that makes the house a bit nicer and girlier, which is my plan anyway. Well, it does not make the house girlie, but pink stuff is just a lot better matching with white/gray then orangey brown haha.

Anyway, it is just an awesome feeling to be starting fresh and new again. I am very thankful to my family for helping out with it! It was a lot of work, and we did it, yay. Thankfully there will be some baby room things that need to be painted in my brothers house, so I can return the favor a little bit, hopefully.. I am glad we did it, ready for my new life. Plus, it was quite fun actually, and now I know what to do if I ever need to help someone else with a laminate floor.
