I took a nice and hot bath again, with one of the Lush bath bombs that I still have (those 12 days of Christmas take at least twelve weeks! 😉 Love it!). This time it was the Lush Avobath Bath Bomb, which includes avocado, lemongrass and bergamot. From the looks of it, it is a pretty straightforward bath bomb, meaning it does not have a fun shape or interesting look, it is just a round bath ball.
For some reason, with the many awesome Christmas bath bombs I have experienced thus far, I still expect a little surprise. I mean, bath bombs from Lush are not cheap, so they should all have some element of surprise right? Unfortunately the Avobath does not. It really is what you see is what you get. Your bath turns green, just like the ball is green, and that is about it.
One thing that I was wondering about was the little golden stuff that was on there. I am not sure if it came off a bath ball that was laying next to it, or that it was part of the Avobath. There were some glitters in the bath as well, it seemed, but they were not as visible as I have experienced with other bath balls. Not that I am totally negative about the Avobath, cause it is very very nice and avocado-y. At first you mainly smell the lemongrass, which smells very fresh, but when you lay in the bath, close to the water you will notice the scent of avocado.
Also, the water felt very soft to the skin, if I may put it like that. What I always struggle with is that I want to have that Lush smell on me for as long as possible, but you will also have to put on body lotion after your bath right? I always try to have a few neutral body lotions at home, just for those moments when I want the Lush loveliness to stick for a long time.
If I had the choice though, I do not think I would go for this bath bomb again. It is simply not fun enough, and if you pay a lot anyway, I’d rather pay for something truly surprising that has a unique look. If you are a person that uses the bath bomb more for their skin, then I would highly recommend this one, cause my skin did feel a lot softer when was in and out of the bath tub. Yummm, very lovely feeling on a Sunday evening..
Disclaimer: I have bought Avobath Bath Bomb from my own money, on my own initiative.
