Even though I have to still discover Wale’s music a bit, there is one specific song that is my jam at the moment. It is called The Matrimony and it is pretty old. It starts with Seinfeld speaking about marriage. Though I think the rollercoaster thing is a bit corny, there is a part of it that is actually extremely inspiring to me:”It’s like any growth, you can’t be ready for it cause it’s growth. Let me be clear, though the song and the text are referring to marriage, I am not. As nice as it may sound walking around in a gorgeous dress looking at your best, eating an extraordinary cake, I do not think what marriage stands for in Western society is worth what it should, in too many cases. Anyway, I really love what he says about growth, and how you can’t be expecting anything, as you would not know what to expect, as it is growth. If you knew it already, or half, it would not be called growth! 🙂

There is more that I love about this song though, as Seinfeld talking is not really a song. I really love how Usher sings his first lines. I love the lines anyway, but especially in the way he sings it, I just believe it, it is really well done: “If there is a question of my heart, you got it.” It is funny Usher sings it, as he is not a very truthful person, but it is just so cute how he pronounces the words. He really sounds so happy. That happiness I truly feel everytime I listen to this song.  So that is why it is my jam at the moment, though Starboy is also getting a lot of plays on my Spotify at the mo!
