Imperium is bad and scary

It does not happen often that I find a movie bad and yet I am still shocked or affected by it. Imperium gave me those emotions though, which is pretty logical in a way: it’s a movie about an FBI agent that goes undercover in a white supremacy terrorist group. The word terrorist in my last sentence should be stressed, cause many times neo-nazi kinda people are not seen as terrorists, even though what they are is terrorism.

Anyway, so it was not a good movie. The dialogue was pretty bad, the acting was often a bit too overacted and a few of the behaviors of the characters were very hard to understand and very much over the top. I mean, it’s obviously a good thing that I do not understand white supremacists, but even for those kinda people they just seemed a bit off sometimes. There were also a lot of cliches in the movie, like when the key character played by Daniel Radcliffe is going to this bbq, and then there is kids playing and they are acting like they are the spawn of evil, and then there is this guy coming

There were also a lot of cliches in the movie, like when the key character played by Daniel Radcliffe is going to this bbq, and then there is kids playing and they are acting like they are the spawn of evil, and then there is this guy coming upto him, I dunno, it all seemed a bit too much.

The good thing about it though, is how freaking creepy those white supremacists are. I really feel very uncomfortable with the idea of them being in the real world too you know. And it could be anyone, even super intelligent people that you might know from work. Brr..

So this was one of my first movies at Empire Live, I hope the rest will be better! I mean, it was still entertaining (it certainly was not The Magnificent Seven! 😉 ) but it is just not convincing unfortunately. Sorry Daniel, I still love you though! 😉
