Review – Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar

You might think this is a bit of an odd website, as it involves personal blogs, video game features and reviews, but this is just how psycho unicorns can get you know? I love sharing parts of my life with you all and reviewing stuff is just what I do! Plus, just because I am a bit of a nerd, doesn’t mean I do not love to check out beauty things, just like this Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar.

As it was Christmas last week and I am one of the lucky few in the Netherlands that actually gets a Santa visit including presents during that time, I have received a lovely Lush Candy Mountain Bubble Bar. You will need a bath for it, as it is specifically designed to make your bath as foamy as possible. Will it deliver on that promise?

First of all, I was pretty intrigued by the shape of the bar. It is not a ‘bar’ like usually, as it is everything but square. Instead this is a pink-white pointy thing covered in glitter. I am not entirely sure what it is supposed to be, as it has a few dots on it, but I think they are for decoration and they do look cute. I think this is supposed to be a fun fantasy mountainthing, but if it is not, sorry Lush!

As the wrapping says I need to crumble this under the running water when preparing the bath, I am doing that. It crumbles quite nicely and right away you can see the foam appearing. And not just that, because also you will smell that delicious Lush smell. As expected this Candy Mountain Bubble Bar smells very sweet, which I love. Even though I am a bit too impatient to take baths (still love them though), the price of Lush products always makes me stay in the bath longer.

Although, wait, I am putting that wrong: the lovely smells, good quality and the cost of Lush products make me take longer baths. Plus, this Bubble Bar made me have fun with the foam as well (yes, I will make a beard, duh!) which is an extra plus. And it turned the bath water a bit pink, which was a nice tough as well. I always think using Lush products should be a real treat, something you give yourself once a month tops (when it comes to their bath products) and I think this Candy Mountain Bubble Bar does exactly that. It is a lovely product to relax with and take a little moment for yourself, which is essential in anyone’s life, as I have learned the hard way this year. And the thing with Lush products is that you would usually give it as a gift, instead of buying it yourself. The design and the love that obviously is put in the products, really makes them an awesome present.

Maybe, a bath that costs 5-7 euros is a lot more than when you use a random cheap bath soap from the grocery store, but the nice thing about it is that you will see it more as a moment for yourself (at least I do) and therefore you will enjoy it longer. Even now when I am typing this from my bed, I can still smell the lovely Lush-ness on my arms. Yum.

Disclaimer: I have received this bath bomb as a gift from my boyfriend, and I review it on my own initiative.
