Review – L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau de Teint

We apply stuff on our faces every day. Stuff supposed to make us look and therefore feel better. What works for you, might not work for me. What does and doesn’t work for me, I sometimes like to discuss here at PsychoUnicorn, as I am sure there are more of those porcelain skinned geeks out there.

Lately I have been trying a lot of different foundations because it doesn’t seem I can find the right one. Maybe this has to do with the fact that my skin is really white, but the texture of many of these foundations is a bit odd.

One of these odd-textured foundations I bought is L’Oreal Nude Magique Eau De Teint. In Holland there are a lot of commercials for this light foundation on the tv and I am one of those silly people that wants to believe a commercial, because why would L’Oreal pay so much money for a commercial if a product is not worth it (no pun intended)?

Anyways, I have bought the lightest one I could find, which is 100 Porcelain. On the front of the label, it says it is a ‘fresh feel foundation, weightless bare perfection, spf 18’. On the back of the glass bottle L’Oreal promises four things:

-Naturally even, shine free look
-Undetectable coverage
-Silky soft touch
-No make-up feel

Eaudeteint1

Those are a lot of promises. Can Eau de Teint keep them? Nope. Even though I have shaken the bottle a lot before applying the oily kind of foundation on my skin, it does not cover as much as I was hoping for. It does feel light, but it depends on the amount of foundation you put on your face. If you put on too much, you will feel the oily stuff on your face every time you touch it. I much say my face did not shine as much anymore after applying, so that is nice. The touch is soft and silky, but again, do not apply too much because then it turns into an oily and icky touch.

It is a featherlight foundation, that is definitely true. It is even, which is one of the most important things in a foundation. But, unfortunately, it does not cover up enough for me to really be a very good foundation. If you would really like to buy something in the Nude Magique-line of L’Oreal, I would definitely go for the BB-crème which gives you a really nice nude look. Much more than this one does.
